Palatine Children's Chorus

The 170-voice Palatine Children’s Chorus began its 22nd season this past September. Our singers, ages 8 through 18 from the greater Palatine area, enjoy a
variety of musical opportunities in the Treble, Intermezzo, Concert, and Honors Choirs. The Chorus nurtures the natural abilities and interests of children who love to sing and stresses the importance of each individual as an important part of our entire ensemble. Our traveling choirs have performed at New York’s famed Carnegie Hall (1999), in Niagara Falls, Montreal and Quebec in Canada (1997 and 2003), throughout Great Britain (2001), in Hawaii (2005), and in Austria and Venice (2007). We have also performed for the Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, at Lincoln Park Zoo, and the Illinois State Fair as well as many local Palatine-area venues. Our holiday concerts will be held on December 10 and 13 at Cutting Hall.

Audition Now for Fall 2008
Any parent whose child will be at least 8 by August 20 and is interested in auditioning for the Chorus' fall session should call Carol Lange, 847-705-5123 ext. 237 for an audition appointment. Auditions will be held on Monday, August 18 in room 1B at the Community Center. All children who audition will be accepted into the Treble or Intermezzo Chorus with the potential of advancing to Concert and Honors Choirs. The Choruses rehearse on Wednesday afternoon/evening starting August 20.
