Fred P. Hall Amphitheater

Providing live entertainment during the warm, relaxing summer months was Palatine Park District’s goal when we opened the Community Park Amphitheater in June of 1988. Since that time, appreciative audiences from all over the north-western suburbs have claimed a patch of grass with picnic baskets, blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy a full series of Wednesday and Friday evening concerts. In a few short years the Amphitheater has quickly become an invaluable entertainment facility in our area. In April 2002 the Palatine Park District Board of Commissioners renamed the Community Park Amphitheater the Fred P. Hall Amphitheater in recognition of former Executive Director Fred P. Hall’s 31 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Palatine.

Since its grand opening, the Amphitheater stage has played host to a tremendous variety of artists and entertainment groups including such local favorites as Big Twist and the Mellow Fellows, Lonnie Brooks, Koko Taylor, Buzz Kilman, Corky Siegel, and the Symphonic Pops Orchestra, in addition to nationally-acclaimed performers Tom Chapin, the original Belmonts, the Buckinghams and the National Shakespeare Company.

Because of its location in Palatine, the Fred P. Hall Amphitheater is the ideal spot for our residents and neighbors to enjoy quality live entertainment at no cost. The wide variety of programming offers something for everyone, and a bit of everything for the regular concert goer.
